To me, “Wayward Spirit” is a symbol of growth and resilience, a young Moodjar tree standing strong against the harsh Australian elements, yet flourishing with so much grace. Its many twists and turns resemble the paths we take in our own lives.

Vibrant and striking, the work is rich with surface texture, with the orange blooms built up in layers to create an almost three-dimensional effect.
It is finished in a hand-built native Marri frame, grounding the piece in the very landscape that inspired it.
